BRAD MICHALSKI
Skating and Skills Professional
Brad is originally from Pittsburgh, PA. His youth hockey career took place in Pittsburgh before advancing to a successful three year Junior A career in the United States. He also played a number of years of minor professional hockey in the United Hockey League, Western Professional Hockey League and the West Coast Hockey League.
Brad has a successful background in coaching at various levels of both boys and girls hockey. Prior to returning to Pittsburgh, he coached teams in the Milwaukee Admirals Organization, as well as AAA Spring/Summer teams for DHI Octane and Super Series AAA. He also owned and operated MelMic Hockey, where, he specialized in on and off-ice skill development training with student athletes from around the Pittsburgh area.
Brad worked for the Pittsburgh Penguins during their Stanley Cup winning 2016-2017 season and coached in the Pittsburgh Penguins Elite organization for three years at multiple birth years. His U16 girls team were 2017 silver medalists at USA Hockeys Girls Tier 1 National Championships.
Brad also served as a Skating and Skills Development Professional at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex along with serving as Hockey Director of the Penguins Selects, Penguins Mite Development League and Lil’ 66ers Program, assisted with Excel Hockey Academy, various skills sessions, camps, clinics, as well as coaching the 2007 and 2008 Elite teams, 2006 Black Team and U16 Girls Team.
Brad has spent the past several years as an independent Powerskating and Skills Development Professional with various organizations from youth through Junior and Minor Professional Hockey programs. He has trained hockey players for 20+ years at all levels and skill set from Mite to NHL players including the likes of Vince Trocheck, J.T. Miller, Matt Bartkowski, Eric Tangradi, Chris Kunitz and many others.
He shares the same passion for skating and skill development for every player he works with.
